About Us
Welcome to Jamboree Heights Swimming Club
Established in 1987, the club is committed to encourage the children of the local community to further their enjoyment of swimming and develop a competitive spirit through the provision of professional coaching and participation in Club events and carnivals.
We recognise that children swim for a number of reasons ranging from simple enjoyment through the health benefits to the competitive element. We encourage and support all these elements within our programs.
Jamboree Heights Swimming Club is a community club. We rely on the parents of swimmers to assist with a range of jobs in the club. These include setting up and packing away on Saturday mornings, Friday evenings and at carnivals, canteen servery, help at BBQ, timekeeping, marshalling, as well as tasks required away from the pool from time to time. | |
We also appreciate help at our two working bees – please refer to the Club Calendar for dates.

![]() | We are located at the pool complex at Jamboree Heights State School, 35 Beanland St, Jamboree Heights. We have a heated Short Course (25m) pool, set up for 6 lanes in competition configuration.
We are lucky to have a very motivational Head Coach, Rob Van Der Zant, who has a wonderful rapour with the children - whether they are learning to swim in the Mini Squad, starting their swimming squad experience in the Junior Squad, or have many years of swimming experience and have progressed to the Senior Squad.
Behind the scenes are the volunteers who take on numerous roles as Club Officials to keep the club running, organise club events and carnivals, ensure the children have competitive inter-club meets to experience as well as helping to keep the pool looking ship-shape.
The Club relies on the parents and caregivers giving up some of their free time and it is what builds the sense of community around the pool deck during the various events held throughout the season.
